The crypto game NBA Top Shot will be released next year.
Cryptocurrency has become popular with sports teams lately. Among other things, the American football team Miami Dolphins has made litecoin its official cryptocurrency.
Now comes more big news on the relationship between sports and cryptocurrencies.
It is the American basketball league NBA that, together with it’s player union NBPA, has teamed up with the company Dapper Labs (which made the popular collector game Cryptokitties) to create a crypto-based basketball game, the players’ union reveals in a press release.
The game, which is called NBA Top Shot, will be released next year and is based on the player building a team and collecting videos of highlights from the league via a blockchain.
