The auditing company Deloitte has published a survey showing that the world's tech companies are generally positive about blockchain technology.

Some of the world’s biggest tech companies are investing in blockchain technology.

Among other things, Amazon wants to use the technology for product tracking – and Microsoft is developing a project on the bitcoin blockchain.

Increase by 16 percentage points

A new study by the large accounting firm Deloitte shows that Amazon and Microsoft are hardly alone in investing in blockchain technology.

According to the survey, which 1,488 managers at tech companies in 14 different countries have answered, 39 percent of companies include blockchain technology in their production. This is an increase of 16 percentage points since last year.

Of the respondents who represent companies with more than a billion dollars in sales, the figure is even higher. There, 46 percent say their companies work with blockchain technology.

In addition to this, 88 percent believe that blockchain technology is scalable and will have a broad impact, an increase of two percentage points since last year.

Nearly half of respondents say blockchain technology is overhyped

However, it is not entirely positive noises in the survey. 54 percent of those surveyed say blockchain technology is overhyped. This is an increase of eleven percentage points since last year.
