The new service from Zulu Republic also offers the opportunity to earn cryptocurrencies by recommending it to other people.

The Swiss company Zulu Republic has announced on Twitter that you now can use their message service “Lite.im” to send and receive both bitcoin and litecoin via the messaging app Whatsapp.

It is also possible to send ether and ztx, the native token on the Zulu Republic platform, Bitcoinist reports.

Over 1.5 billion users

Lite.im is the latest in a line of attempts to make it easier for ordinary people to use cryptocurrencies in everyday life. Whatsapp has over 1.5 billion users worldwide.

The service from Zulu Republic also offers the possibility of earning cryptocurrencies by recommending it to other people, through a so-called “referral program”.

Previously, Lite.im has similar services for Facebook Messenger, Telegram and SMS, Bitcoinist reports.
