A new survey made by the British company D-CYFOR shows Britons are still skeptical towards bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Despite the fact that 93 percent of those who participated in the survey answered that they have heard of bitcoin, 56 percent said that they would not invest in the asset even if the British government introduced working regulations.
Furthermore, 60 percent answered that they would not support a proposition to let Bank of England issue their own government-backed cryptocurrency tied to the value of the British pound.
Regarding the near-time development of bitcoin, 61 percent of the participants answered that they believe that the price of bitcoin will go down or even reach zero within the next six months. 31 percent believes the price will go up.
The survey was conducted at the beginning of April this year and had a total of 1.000 participants.
