Litecoin has had a hard time lately. Among other things, the increase in price that the cryptocurrency’s halving was expected to bring did not happen.
In addition, it has been rumored that the cryptocurrency has been completely abandoned by its developers. This is because the project’s code on Github has not been updated in 2019, Cointelegraph reports.
The founder answers the criticism
Litecoin founder Charlie Lee is now responding to the criticism. In a series of tweets, he writes that the lack of new code is due to two things.
Firstly, he says that several of litecoin’s latest update has been bitcoin updates originally. Secondly, litecoin developers do not normally work on the cryptocurrency’s main code but on branches of the project, Cointelegraph reports.
On Sunday, Trijo News reported that major exchange Binance says it has discovered a hacker attack against litecoin owners. You can read about that here.
