The crypto markets have not moved much during the last 24 hours. The day is now well into New Year’s Eve and thus the year’s last trading day for cryptocurrencies. Currently, about 90 of the 100 biggest cryptocurrencies show red numbers.
The market cap for all cryptocurrencies has also declined over the last 24 hours – from $130 billion yesterday to $127 billion today. That is a $3 billion decline.
The crypto markets are down 79 percent in one year
Looking at the full year, the market cap for all cryptocurrencies has gone from $587 billion on December 31, 2017, to today’s $127 billion.
That is a $460 billion decline – or 79 percent.
Xrp declines most of the biggest cryptocurrencies
If we look at the last 24 hours, all the big cryptocurrencies show red numbers. Xrp (-2,56%), bitcoin cash (-2,30%) and eos (-3,15%) have declined the most, but also bitcoin (-1,91%) and ethereum (-1,07%) have declined in price.
Bitcoin is currently trading at around $3,797, which is around $80 lower compared to the same time yesterday.
The cryptocurrencies on top 100 that performed the best during the last 24 hours were mobilego (+16,35%) and moac (+12,10%), and the ones that performed the worst were dex (-26,64%) and stratis (-9,94%).
