Former Microsoft employee arrested for big crypto theft

The crypto industry has had big problems with fraud and theft. Trijo News has written about this before.

Now come reports that a former Microsoft employee, 25-year-old Ukrainian Volodymyr Kvashuk, has been arrested for a big theft.

Bought Tesla and house

Volodymyr Kvashuk made about $10 million by stealing gift cards for cryptocurrencies.

For the money, the Ukrainian, among other things, bought a car from the brand Tesla and a big lakeside house, AP reports via Cointelegraph.

Which cryptocurrencies the gift cards were valid for is unclear.
