Ethereum classic (+8,52%) has soared a lot in the last 24 hours. The rise comes following news that the cryptocurrency is about to be listed on major cryptocurrency exchanges.
This weekend, Trijo News reported that the American crypto exchange Coinbase is in the final stage of testing the support for ethereum classic.
“We expect final testing to be completed by Tuesday, August 7, at which point we will announce that we’re ready to accept inbound transfers of ETC. We intend to allow 24–48 hours of inbound transfers through Coinbase Pro and Coinbase Prime before enabling trading”, Coinbase wrote on their official blog.
Recently, it also became known that the American crypto exchange Robinhood adds support for ethereum classic, as reported by Cointelegraph.
After the rally, the market value of ethereum classic peaked at around $2.2 billion, making it the 10th largest cryptocurrency in the world, according to Coinmarketcap.
Since then, it has fallen back slightly.
No major changes in the markets
Apart from that, there have been no major changes in the crypto markets in the last 24 hours. However, on Tuesday morning, bitcoin (+0,46%) made a move upwards and took the rest of the market with it.
Of the largest cryptocurrencies, only xrp (-4,18%) lost several percents in the last 24 hours.
The cryptocurrencies on top 100 that performed the best during the last 24 hours were basic attention token (+11,40%) and recently mentioned ethereum classic (+8,52%), and the ones that performed the worst were iota (-12,35%) och mixin (-12,33%).
