There are continued green numbers in the crypto market. Among the largets cryptocurrencies, Ethereum (+8,43%) is the one that has gone up the most. But also Cardano (+7,53%), Verge (+14,13%), and NEO (+15,50%) have been rocketing during the past 24 hours.
Among the coins that have dipped, we find IOStoken(-9,75%), Elastos (-6,59%), and Cryptonex (-2,82%).
Pakistan follows India
Earlier it became known that India bans banks to let their customers trade cryptocurrencies. Now it’s Pakistans turn. It is the central bank of the country that has said that banks and other financial services providers can’t support transactions with cryptocurrencies.
They even go as far as saying that anyone who uses cryptocurrencies to send funds outside Pakistan “will be subject to prosecution as per applicable laws”, according to propakistani.pk.

But it has not only been negative news in the crypto world. Among other things, several big investors seem to think that cryptocurrencies are becoming more and more interesting.
For example, the legendary investor and billionaire George Soro’s investment firm are getting ready to start trading cryptocurrencies.
Also, the venture capital company Venrock, which is owned by the wealthy American family Rockefeller, is looking into investments in the crypto world. They have announced a partnership with Coinfund, an investor group that focuses exclusively on newly started cryptocurrency companies.
Trouble for crypto exchanges in Japan
In Japan, authorities have temporarily suspended two cryptocurrency exchanges due to insufficient KYC procedures. KYC stands for “know your customer”, and is a concept that financial companies must have to know their customers in order to work against criminal activities such as money laundering and terrorist finance.
One of the world’s largest crypto exchanges, Hongkong-based Bitfinex, has announced the introduction of 12 new altcoins. All of these are ERC-20 tokens, which is the technical standard for smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain. Some of the newly supported altcoins are Aion (AION), Request Network (REQ), Cofound.it (CFI), and Dai (DAI). The latter is a direct competitor to Tether.
