The world's biggest cryptocurrency bitcoin is currently trading at $3,749, which is around $100 higher than yesterday.
The crypto markets have risen in the last 24 hours. At present, around 90 of the 100 biggest cryptocurrencies show green numbers.
The market cap of all cryptocurrencies has also increased over the last 24 hours – from $121 billion yesterday to $126 billion today.
That is a $5 billion rise.
If we look at the biggest cryptocurrencies, ethereum (+10,44%) is the one that by far has performed the best. Exactly what the increase is due to is, as usual, hard to say, but many speculate that it has to do with the upcoming “fork” (when a cryptocurrency divides or is updated) which is named Constantinople and which is scheduled to take place at the end of the month.
Ethereum is currently trading at $137, which is over ten dollars more than yesterday.
Also eos (+3,45%), xrp (+2,88%), bitcoin (+2,85%) and litecoin (+1,07%) show green numbers in the last 24 hours.

The cryptocurrencies on top 100 that performed the best during the last 24 hours were wax (+41,59%) and ark (+33,35%), and the ones that performed the worst were neo (-2,20%) and ontology (-1,87%).
