The reason for the chaotic scenes, according to information from the tweeter Crypto Authority, is a big misunderstanding.
A Chinese Ponzi scheme has allegedly stolen almost $30 million from its investors during the weekend.
The fraud reportedly had a name that was very similar to the one Tron uses in the Chinese market, and this led to the angry protests at the crypto company’s office, Cointelegraph reports.
Tron’s CEO Justin Sun calls for calm, and says the whole event is “fake news”.
– All is well. Stop spreading fake news and pictures, he writes on Twitter.
