Canadian town lets residents pay their property taxes in bitcoin

On Tuesday, US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin attacked bitcoin and said that the cryptocurrency could be used for tax evasion.

Agreement with crypto company

After Richmond Hill signed an agreement with crypto company Coinberry, the municipality’s residents will now be able to pay their property taxes in bitcoin.
