This is a decrease of about twelve percent.
However, during Sunday, the price recovered somewhat, and a bitcoin is currently trading at $10,400, according to numbers from Bitstamp.
The question now is whether the bitcoin price can remain above $10,000 or whether the world’s biggest cryptocurrency will fall to four-digit again.
Bitcoin currently accounts for 68.6 percent of the total market cap of all cryptocurrencies.
Altcoins are rising in price
Ethereum retains its position as the world’s second-biggest cryptocurrency with a total market cap of over $20 billion.
The price of ethereum has also decreased during the week, but over the last 24 hours, it has recovered and increased by over four percent. One ethereum costs $194 at the time of writing.
Xrp performed even better over the last 24 hours. The world’s third-biggest cryptocurrency, with a total market cap of over $12 billion, has risen over five percent in the last 24 hours. At the time of writing, one xpr costs $0.281447, according to Coinmarketcap.
