Bitcoin currently accounts for 53.3 percent of the total market cap of all cryptocurrencies.
The bitcoin price has shown strength in the last 24 hours. Today, the price of a bitcoin rose to over $5,500 for the first time in five months.
Looking at the last seven days, bitcoin’s total market cap has increased significantly – from around $90 billion on April 16 to $98 billion today.
Bitcoin currently accounts for 53.3 percent of the total market cap of all cryptocurrencies, according to Coinmarketcap’s “dominance rate”.
As usual when bitcoin increases in price, other altcoins also increase in price. If we look at the biggest cryptocurrencies, most of them show green numbers during the last 24 hours.
The cryptocurrencies that have increased the most, besides bitcoin (+4,46%), are bitcoin cash (+2,11%), ethereum (+1,99%) and eos (+1,71%).
The cryptocurrencies on top 100 that performed the best during the last 24 hours were s4fe (+95,31%) and aurora (+13,58%), and the ones that performed the worst were digitex futures (-24,67%) and basic attention token (-8,12%).
