The bitcoin price has broken through $10,000, according to numbers from Bitstamp.
It was during the night before Saturday (CEST) that the price of the world’s biggest cryptocurrency rallied sharply and increased from $9,920 to $10,245 – in just half an hour.
That is the highest price for more than a year.
Although the bitcoin price was close to reaching $10,000 again in early May last year, we’ll have to go back to March 8, 2018, to find the last time a bitcoin was worth over $10,000, according to numbers from Coinmarketcap.
