The upcoming version of Iphone’s operating system IOS will feature something Apple has chosen to call a “cryptographic” developer tool.
Although neither “cryptocurrency” nor “blockchain” is mentioned, this is predicted to be Apple’s first step towards the crypto world, Forbes reports.
It was during the Worldwide Developers Conference in Silicon Valley in the US recently that Apple announced the news of its new tool. The name of the tool is Cryptokit, and it is meant to replace the former Commoncrypto which has similar functions.
Cryptokit helps developers implement “cryptographic” things such as hashing, key generation and encryption.

That fact that also Apple now seems to be on the move has led many to hope that the increased interest in cryptocurrencies from Silicon Valley may cause the bitcoin price to reach new records again, Forbes writes.
