The American crypto exchange Kraken is firing 57 employees from their service group.
Kraken, one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, is laying off 57 American employees. This was announced by Jesse Powell, CEO of Kraken.
The reason is, according to Powell, to save money, but in an email to Bloomberg, he writes that this will not affect the quality of the service at Kraken. Powell also points out that the rumors saying that the layoffs are connected to a security issue are “entirely unfounded”.
Aside from this, Kraken is hiring heavily and estimates that they will have around a thousand employees by the end of 2018.
