ANNONS

There are, unfortunately, villains in the crypto world. Previously, Trijo News has written about how hackers stole a lot of money from the crypto exchange Upbit.

Now another suspected fraud has been discovered. This time, 24 Chinese citizens have been arrested in Bangkok, Thailand on suspicion of engaging in crypto-related fraud, the country’s authority for migration reveals in a press release.

Cheated investors over the phone

The suspected scammers allegedly tricked Chinese investors over the phone to buy bitcoin at too high prices. At the moment it is unclear how much money has been stolen, Cointelegraph reports.

This is not the first time there have been reports of cryptocurrency fraud from Thailand. Trijo News has previously written about a Swedish man who was arrested in the country after being accused of involvement in a really big crypto scam.
