ANNONS

Unfortunately, scams are not rare when it comes to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

A few weeks ago, Trijo News reported on how people in South Africa burned down a fraudster’s house after he stole their money.

Now someone is trying to steal people’s money by pretending to be one of the crypto world’s big celebrities.

Trying to access crypto wallets

John McAfee, who founded the anti-virus company that bears his name, and who, in addition to his enthusiasm for bitcoin, has made himself known for his own problems with the law, is claimed in an article on Medium to be giving away large amounts of bitcoin and ethereum, CCN reports.

He is not, the whole thing is a scam where fraudsters try to gain access to people’s crypto wallets.

That it is a fraud was confirmed after John McAfee’s wife Janice McAfee wrote about the scam on Twitter.
