The biggest cryptocurrencies have fallen in value over the past 24 hours.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has recently reviewed a number of applications regarding crypto ETFs.

Several decisions have been postponed and also Canada’s largest investment firm has stated that there will likely not be a bitcoin ETF at all in 2018. In addition, SEC has already denied several applications. Now more refuses have come.

In total, there are nine applications from the companies Proshares, Direxion and Graniteshares, which now have received a “no”. In all cases, SEC writes that they “emphasizes that its disapproval does not rest on an evaluation of whether bitcoin, or blockchain technology more generally, has utility or value as an innovation or an investment”, Coindesk reports.

News about mining companies

The Norwegian crypto mining farm Kryptovault may be forced to shut down its business in several cities because they lack the right permits. The mining company’s operations have also been accused of causing too much noise and last week, they also received a bomb threat related to the noise, writes Coindesk, referring to local media.

At the same time, a large mining farm is being opened in the region around Leningrad in Russia. The farm is approximately 4,000 square meters and has more than 3,000 pieces of mining equipment, Bitcoin News reports.
